The client is a technology company from the Middle East building an AI product for corporate customers. Their focus was the enterprise market from day one — teams that need centralized, controlled access to AI tools under a single account. Peppernode has been the primary development partner throughout, working across design, development, and QA as the product evolved into its current form.

Enterprise teams were already using AI — but on personal accounts, across scattered platforms, with no oversight and no shared resources. Sensitive company documents were being uploaded to consumer tools with no data governance in place. The client saw an opportunity to fix this: one workspace, multiple AI models, full team control.

The platform also had to meet a market-specific requirement. The client’s target region has regulatory expectations around data residency, which meant infrastructure choices weren’t just a technical decision — they were a compliance one.

Peppernode joined as the core engineering partner and has remained embedded throughout the product’s evolution. Development runs in continuous iterations — new features ship in parallel with ongoing refactoring and technical debt work. The client also has a part-time developer on their side, which required close coordination to keep the codebase clean and consistent. Priorities are set collaboratively, with the client steering what ships next based on business needs.

• Multi-Model Chat Interface. Users can create, manage, and switch between chats across three major AI providers. The key detail: switching models mid-conversation doesn’t reset the context — the new model picks up the full history and continues from there. Each provider returns output in a different format, so the platform normalizes responses to keep the interface consistent regardless of which model is active.
• Knowledge Base — RAG-Powered Document Storage. Each team account has a shared document repository backed by a vector store. Files are indexed and retrieved via RAG — the model searches the Knowledge Base first before reaching for the web. Upload once, and the whole team works from the same source.
• Custom Assistants. Users can create named AI assistants with a custom system prompt and their own RAG-backed document storage. A marketing assistant loaded with brand guidelines, a legal assistant with relevant contracts — each combines a persona with a private knowledge base, so users don’t re-explain their domain every time they start a new chat.
• Projects — Collaborative AI Workspaces. Projects allow users to create shared workspaces inside the platform, each with its own file storage and instructions, shareable with other members of the same organization. Team members collaborate on the same AI context without exposing their personal chat histories.
• Multi-Tenant Account System. Shared resources are accessible to the whole team; personal chat histories stay private. A separate admin panel lets the client manage accounts, track seat usage, and grant access manually after payment.
• Localized Interface. The platform ships with both light and dark themes and full Arabic language support — consistent with the client’s target market and user base.
• ISO 27001 Certification Support. Peppernode has supported the client through an ISO 27001 security audit process, providing documentation of the platform’s architecture, security practices, and system controls.

The Peppernode team operates as the client’s core engineering function. The PM/BA manages the day-to-day relationship, coordinates between development and QA, and works directly with the client to balance new feature work against technical improvements. Sprints are planned collaboratively, with regular syncs to review progress and align on what ships next.
